Description(EN) :	<p> As part of a proactive approach in addressing the current widespread offering of sub-standard stainless steel products to end users – an issue that has tarnished the long-established reputation of quality stainless steel producers in the Thai market, the Thai Stainless Steel Development Association (TSSDA) in collaboration with 12 producers and operators in the Thai stainless steel industry, will host various seminar sessions under the ‘Stainless Solutions’ theme in the ‘METALEX 2010’ trade show to be held on November 24-26 at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition Center.<br /> <br /> The collaboration is aimed to disseminate knowledge concerning stainless steel – a value-for-money material given its lifelong safety and hygienic properties – to stainless steel product businesses operators, who are responsible in providing the correct advice to end users regarding their products, quality and standards, as well as grade selection for the appropriate applications.<br /> <br /> Led by Thainox Stainless Public Company Limited, other producers and operators involved in this collaboration are: NDT Instruments (Thailand) Company Limited, VP Rangsee Industry Company Limited, AWACS Corporation Limited, Group Seven Asia Company Limited, TG PRO High Grade Company Limited, Gold Gear Power Shine System Company Limited, Thai Unique Coil Center Public Company Limited, Lertsiam Steel Company Limited, Diamond Brand Company Limited, Jutha Wan Metal Limited, and Kings Brite Company Limited.<br /> <br /> Jean-Paul Thevenin, TSSDA President, said: “All participants in the collaboration agree to join hands in the enhancement of stainless steel quality and standards as well as the dissemination of relevant knowledge – the objectives that are in line to support the current operations of the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) and the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) in the enforcement of label control regulation on stainless steel products.”<br /> <br /> “In organizing seminar sessions at the METALEX 2010, we have received strong support in providing experts in cold-rolled stainless steel from Thainox Stainless PCL’s research center, one of the industry’s highly recognized institutions; and from the country’s leading academic institutions in the field of metallurgical engineering, as well as other strategic business alliances” added Mr. Thevenin who later explained that each seminar session, to be held throughout the 3-day event at Room 213 on the 2nd floor of BITEC Bangna Exhibition Center will cover different topics – ranging from general knowledge about stainless steel, home and industrial applications, cost reduction and efficient use, the difference of stainless steel welding methods compared to the welding of other metals, to information on how to start a successful stainless steel business. “The seminar will benefit not only existing and potential operators in the stainless steel business, but also end users,” concluded Mr. Thevenin.<br /> <br /> <strong>Those interested in attending the ‘Stainless Solutions’ seminar, may contact the Thai Stainless Steel Development Association at Tel. 0 2616 6163-4 or visit </strong><a href="http://www.tssda.org"><strong>www.tssda.org</strong></a><strong>.</strong></p>
