Description(EN) :	<p style="text-align:center"><img alt="" src="../userfiles/images/news_20121203171643_N000064_2.jpg" style="text-align:center" /></p> <p>Thainox’s Board of Directors appointed ‘Hyo-Seok Song’ from POSCO, Korea, as the new President to replace ‘Prayudh Mahagitsiri’, who will continue to serve as Thainox Chairman. Effective September 20, the appointment marks the reinvention of Thainox to be more competitivein the global marketplace.</p> <p><br /> Thainox Stainless Public Company Limited (Thainox) announced that Hyo-Seok Song was appointed as the new President and board member. This decision was authorized at the Board Meeting on September 20, 2011.</p> <p>The company also named ‘Yeong-Hwan Han’ as new Chief Financial Officer.<br /> <br /> The new management announcement came after a change in company governance structure. POSCO, the world's fourth largest steelmaker, started tender offer for Thainox Stainless Pcl. in the Stock Exchange of Thailand on September 20, at 2.20 Baht per share. On its first day, POSCO acquired approximately 60% of Prayudh Mahagitsiri and his family owned stake of Thainox Steel Pcl., coming in as the single biggest stockholder of Thainox Steel Pcl. However, Prayudh Mahagitsiri will continue to serve as a chairman of Thainox, providing management oversight in Thailand. He aims to take back up to 10% of the Thainox stake.<br /> <br /> H.S. Song was vice president of POSCO stainless steel division. After joining POSCO in 1984, he has been pursuing his career in metallurgy research, stainless steel raw material procurement, and engineering and production. The following quotes are from the interview with Mr. Song.</p> <p>"I am honored to be able to serve the new Thainox at its time of reinvention. The acquisition by POSCO marks a new beginning for Thainox. The change will enable Thainox to emerge as a stronger, healthier and more sustainable global company with the determination not to just survive but to excel.”<br /> <br /> Prayudh Mahagitsiri, Thainox Chairman, revealed with confidence that the decision to sell his own and his family’s shares in the company will benefit Thailand’s stainless steel industry, as POSCO is known as the world-class organization with technological advances and best practices. In addition, the fact that POSCO will bring in a total investment of around 500 Million US$, helps increase the confidence of both local and foreign investors – which, in turn, will contribute to the country’s economic development.</p>

Description(TH) :	<p style="text-align:center"><img alt="" src="../userfiles/images/news_20121203171643_N000064_2.jpg" style="text-align:center" /></p> <p>บอร์ดไทยน๊อคซ์ เปิดตัว ดร.โฮ ซอก, ซง ผู้บริหารใหญ่สายธุรกิจสเตนเลส จากพอสโก้ ประเทศเกาหลี ขึ้นดำรงตำแหน่งกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่คนใหม่ของไทยน๊อคซ์ มีผลทันที 20 กันยายนนี้ พร้อมประกาศเดินหน้าสร้างสรรค์องค์กรใหม่ เพื่อเข้าสู่องค์กรและการตลาดระดับโลก ขณะที่นายประยุทธ มหากิจศิริ ยังคงนั่งตำแหน่งประธานกรรมการของไทยน๊อคซ์ต่อไป<br /> <br /> การประชุมคณะกรรมการบริหารบริษัท ไทยน๊อคซ์ สเตนเลส จำกัด (มหาชน) ในวันที่ 20 กันยายน ได้มีมติแต่งตั้ง ดร.โฮ ซอก, ซง เป็นกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่คนใหม่และเป็นกรรมการในคณะกรรมการบริหารชุดใหม่ของ ไทยน๊อคซ์ ซึ่งมีผลและเข้าบริหารงานในบริษัทฯ ในวันเดียวกัน ในโอกาสเดียวกันนี้ที่ประชุมบอร์ดยังได้แต่งตั้งนายยอง ฮวัน, ฮัน (Mr.Yeong-Hwan, Han) ขึ้นเป็นประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายการเงิน (Chief Finance Officer) ในทีมบริหารใหม่ด้วย<br /> <br /> การประกาศแต่งตั้งคณะผู้บริหารชุด ใหม่ดำเนินการภายหลังการเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างการบริหารของไทยน๊อคซ์ โดยพอสโก้ จากสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ผู้นำอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตเหล็กอันดับสี่ของโลก ได้เริ่มแสดงความจำนงทำคำเสนอซื้อหุ้นต่อผู้ถือหุ้นทั่วไป (เทนเดอร์ ออฟเฟอร์) ในราคาหุ้นละ 2.20 บาท ต่อตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย ในวันที่ 20 กันยายน 2554 และในวันเดียวกันพอสโก้ได้เข้าซื้อหุ้นจากนายประยุทธ มหากิจศิริและครอบครัว ซึ่งเป็นผู้ถือหุ้นใหญ่ของไทยน๊อคซ์ฯ จำนวน 60% ซึ่งจะทำให้พอสโก้เปลี่ยนเป็นผู้ถือหุ้นรายใหญ่ที่สุดรายเดียวของไทยน๊อคซ์ แทน อย่างไรก็ตามนายประยุทธ มหากิจศิริ ยังคงตั้งเป้าที่จะถือหุ้นไทยน๊อคซ์ต่อไปอีกจำนวน 10% และยังได้รับเกียรติดำรงตำแหน่งประธานกรรมการของไทยน๊อคซ์ต่อไป<br /> <br /> ดร. โฮ ซอก, ซง เคยดำรงตำแหน่งกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ในสายธุรกิจสเตนเลสมาก่อน โดยเข้าร่วมงานกับพอสโก้เมื่อ พศ. 2527 และเติบโตมาในสายงานด้านการวิจัยโลหวิทยา การจัดซื้อวัตถุดิบสเตนเลส การวิศวกรรม และการผลิต "ผมรู้สึกเป็นเกียรติ ที่จะได้เข้ามาบริหารไทยน๊อคซ์ในเวลาที่ต้องสร้างสรรค์สิ่งใหม่ให้แก่องค์กร การเข้ามาถือหุ้นและบริหารโดยพอสโก้นับเป็นการเริ่มต้นใหม่ของไทยน๊อคซ์ ซึ่งการเปลี่ยนแปลงนี้จะช่วยทำให้ไทยน๊อคซ์เป็นที่รู้จักในฐานะองค์กรระดับ โลกที่แข็งแรง สมบูรณ์ และยั่งยืนด้วยการตัดสินใจที่ไม่เพียงเพื่อการอยู่รอดเท่านั้น แต่เพื่อความเป็นเลิศ" ดร.โฮ ซอก, ซง กล่าว<br /> <br /> นายประยุทธ มหากิจศิริ ประธานกรรมการ บริษัทไทยน๊อคซ์ฯ เปิดเผยถึงการตัดสินใจขายหุ้นของตนเองและครอบครัวครั้งนี้ว่า จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมเหล็กและสเตนเลสของประเทศ เนื่องจากพอสโก้เป็นองค์กรระดับโลกที่มีเทคโนโลยีและเบสท์แพรคทีส (Best Practice) ในทุกด้าน การนำเม็ดเงินเข้ามาลงทุนในประเทศไทยร่วม 500 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐฯ เป็นการสร้างความเชื่อมั่นต่อนักลงทุนทั้งในประเทศและต่างชาติ ซึ่งส่งผลดีต่อการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจของประเทศด้วย</p>
