Description(EN) :	<p>POSCO-Thainox's employees joined hands together holding the traditional Songkran celebration. The ceremony took place on April 10, 2012, at the frontal Plant office, Rayong province. The activities were pouring water to Buddha image, management team, and blessing good thing to get good start in the New Year season.</p> <p>Songkran and pouring water originated as a way to pay respect to people, after it had been poured over the Buddha image for cleansing and then using this "blessed" water to give good fortune to elders and family by gently pouring it on the shoulder or palms.</p> <p>Among young people the holiday evolved to include dousing strangers with water to relieve the heat, since April is the hottest month in Thailand.
